Biotechnology & Medical
Navitar manufactures a wide variety of imaging and laser optics systems for biotechnology and medical applications. Often, our customers are moving from the prototype stage to production. Navitar’s years of experience allows us to provide leading equipment manufacturers with highly tailored solutions to meet specific requirements.
Navitar has led the advancement of medical imaging sciences from the very first development of X-ray imaging optics for GE Medical over forty years ago. Over thirty years ago, our Modulation Optics division pioneered the development of Hoffman Modulation Contrast optics for in vitro fertilization. Over ten years ago, our Special Optics division produced the very first femtosecond laser optics for laser eye surgery for what is now Abbott Laboratories.
Today Navitar produces high magnification optics for a variety of automated medical and biotech processes including flow cytometry, cellular analysis, fluorescence imaging, DNA sequencing, in vitro fertilization, stem cell imaging, and laser eye surgery (LASIK).
Medical and bioscience companies can continue to count on Navitar for unsurpassed precision and accuracy in developing integrated optical systems.
