Navitar, Inc. is pleased to announce Two-Photon Microscopy: How, Why and What,
a webcast hosted by BioOptics World and sponsored by Navitar. The webcast will feature John Girkin, director of the Biophysical Sciences Institute, Durham University (UK) in a discussion of the advantages and impacts of multiphoton microscopy.

ABOUT THE WEBCAST
Advances in ultrafast lasers, beam delivery systems, and optics are helping researchers develop new applications of two-photon microscopy, and improving prospects for clinical application in many disciplines. This webcast discusses the unique advantages of multiphoton microscopy and how it has impacted both the life sciences and optics. It explores how interactions among end users, optics and laser researchers, and commercial suppliers are influencing its development – and where the technology may be headed.

ABOUT NAVITAR & TWO-PHOTON OPTICS
Navitar and its Special Optics division design and manufacture custom and off-the-shelf imaging and laser optics systems for biotech and medical applications such as flow cytometry, DNA sequencing, in vitro fertilization, stem cell research and fMRI. Navitar also offers objective lens solutions optimized for use in two-photon microscopy systems. These apochromatic objectives are customized with high numerical apertures and long working distances for use with various sample sizes and applications; they meet the need for working distances from 0.3mm to a longer range of 30mm.
