Navitar offers a wide variety of ScreenStar conversion and replacement projection lenses for your personal home theater needs. If you are setting up a projection system with a high contrast DLP projector, LCD, LCOS, or DILA projector, projecting in 16:9 wide screen format or in HDTV, Navitar has a lens that will work with your system.

Upgrading

Over time, it's no surprise that your home theater needs may change. The room where your home theater resides may change or you may upgrade to a larger 16:9 format projection screen. In either case, it is likely that your current projector may not work exactly as you'd like with the new dimensions. No problem. Keep your existing projector and just add a ScreenStar conversion lens or a replacement lens to get the desired projection result. Navitar is happy to help you determine which lens is the best option for your specific needs.

Cost Savings

Significant cost savings can be had depending on the projector you select for your home theater. Many low cost models are available that work beautifully for home theater. However, some of the less expensive models offer a limited projection range. The addition of a Navitar ScreenStar Lens can easily fix the problem. For example, the addition of a Navitar 0.8X ScreenStar lens will give you up to a 25% larger image from the same distance. On the other hand, if you want a more compact projection system, the same 0.8X ScreenStar lens will let you move your projector up to 20% closer to the screen to maintain the same image size.

Projector Positioning

Placement of your home theater projector is an important decision, not only for the size of the projected image, but also for room aesthetics. A Navitar ScreenStar conversion lens or replacement lens allows flexibility of where you can place the projector. For example, to greatly improve the look of your room by moving the projector to the back where it's less noticeable, try a Navitar 1.5X ScreenStar lens. The 1.5X ScreenStar lets you move your projector up to 50% farther away from the screen without losing image size.
