Navitar's Buhl Division Relocates to Rochester, New York
Rochester, New York (June, 2002)- - Navitar, Inc. is pleased
to announce that its Buhl Division has successfully completed its move to Rochester,
New York. All Buhl manufacturing, sales and accounting operations have been
consolidated with those of Navitar to provide customers with improved products
and enhanced customer service. Buhl lens products are now available under the
Navitar/Buhl label.
Navitar purchased Buhl Optical, a recognized leader in the AV industry for
over 70 years, in 1997. Navitar, a manufacturer of Buhl moves to Rochester,
New York video microscope optics for machine vision and video inspection applications,
optical coatings, AV presentation, videoconferencing and digital imaging products,
has a reputation for quality and optical precision that is unsurpassed. Navitar
and Buhl Division operations were consolidated in 2002 to create an even stronger
company with a greater focus on serving our customers. Together, we serve more
than 3000 customers in over 60 countries.
Customers should expect more than just a change of address for Buhl, they can
look forward to a world class company with a richer portfolio of products and
solutions: The customer service and sales personnel of Navitar and Buhl have
joined together to provide a larger support team to serve customers better;
Navitar's exceptional engineering staff is now responsible for developing new
lenses and improving the optics and mechanics of existing lens designs; Navitar's
facility provides Buhl with increased production capacity to accommodate a greater
volume of lens manufacturing; and all Navitar/Buhl LCD lens products are now
manufactured under the same strict guidelines as Navitar lenses, providing customers
with improved product quality and consistency.
