Whenever possible, the size of your audience should
help determine the size of your projected image. An image that is too
small or too large can be difficult to see and lessen the impact of your
presentation. Use the following chart as a guideline for image size based
on audience size.

Screen
Location & Distance
The following items represent the ideal set-up for screen location and distance for most presentations.
To prevent obstruction of the screen by viewers heads in the front,
the projection screen should be positioned so the bottom of the screen
is at least 36 inches above the floor. If possible, we recommend 48
inches above the floor.
The Distance from the screen to the first row of viewers should be
equal to 2X the width of the screen.
Screen height should be 1/8 of the distance to the farthest viewer
(or the distance from the screen to the farthest viewer should be 8X
the image height).
The maximum seating width should equal the distance to the screen.
The best viewing is generally within a 60 degree cone from the center
of the projection screen.
